Alexandra Park Revitalization Scholarship

Scholarship for Atkinson Co-op residents and TCHC Alexandra Park tenants

TCHC and Tridel are now offering scholarships for Atkinson Co-op residents and TCHC Alexandra Park tenants aged 17 years and older pursuing post-secondary studies.

The Alexandra Park Revitalization Scholarship recognizes the diverse educational goals, career aspirations, and learning preferences of Alexandra Park community members.

Post-Secondary and Trade School Scholarship

  • Intended for community members with the goal of obtaining a post-secondary degree, a training, or academic certificate from a credible Canadian educational institute.
  • Scholarship award up to $3,000 to cover tuition fees.
  • Applicants are eligible for an additional bursary of up to $500 to cover expenses (like textbooks, childcare, transportation, etc.).

Questions and Answers

Who can apply for the scholarship?

The Alexandra Park Revitalization Scholarship is open to Atkinson Co-op residents and Alexandra Park TCHC tenants aged 17 years and older.

What will the scholarship cover?

Scholarship awards will be paid directly to the post-secondary/training institution and bursaries will be paid to the recipient upon proof of enrollment. Programs may be full-time or part-time, in-person, online, or hybrid.

Alexandra Park Revitalization Scholarship

  • Intended for applicants with the goal of obtaining a post-secondary degree, a training, or academic certificate from a credible Canadian educational institute.
  • Scholarship award values of up to $3,000 are to cover tuition fees for any program at a post-secondary institute or training school (i.e., college, university, trade school) along with a $500 bursary to cover textbooks, childcare, transportation, etc. will also accompany these scholarship awards.

How will the applications be assessed?

Applicants are scored using a point system that correlates to the specific mandatory components of the applications. This is why a complete application form is very important! Applications are reviewed by an evaluation panel comprised of representatives of Alexandra Park-based organizations and service providers. Applicant names will be hidden throughout the evaluation process.
